While burning your candles we recommend following a few care guidelines:  

FIRST BURN: It is very important that you allow the candle to burn until the entire top of the candle turns into a hot wax pool. Even to the edges. Doing this prevents future tunneling. 

NEVER let the entire candle turn to a hot wax pool. This causes your wicks to fall over/be too close to the glass, potentially compromising your jar for future refills. 

Only let a jumbo candle burn for approximately 4-6 hours.

Always trim your wicks to ¼”-½” prior to each burn. We sell wick trimmers that will get you just the right length.

DO not set your jar on a warm surface (i.e. your stove) as this will cause your wax to melt quicker, and warm the bottom of the jar unnecessarily causing your wicks to dislodge. 

Do NOT use the lid to extinguish your candle. Use a wick dipper to extinguish the flame.  This results in NO smoke production.  We sell wick dippers.

Never leave a candle unattended.  

Keep out of reach of children. 

Avoid quick changes in temperature.

We offer two return options for our local customers. 

Sniff Event Option:

Bring any jars you’d like to return back to our Sniff Events. 

Our Jar Return helpers will look through your (preferably clean) jars and give you a card with the total amount that can be deducted off your order. 

Take that card to check out and use that card value off that same day's purchase. 

Website Option: 

Fill your cart. 

Use the promocode: JarReturn1, JarReturn2, JarReturn3 (or whatever number of clear jars you have that are eligible for return in the # numerical spot). We have codes made all the way up to JarReturn16. 

When you pick up your order, please leave your empty (preferably clean) jars on the porch with a post it note with your name inside! 

We do not allow carryover or “holding” of jar return values. Discount must be used on a same day purchase. 

We are no longer able to accept back our colored jars. The labels leave a sheen that cannot be removed. We will take back the gold or black lids that come on those.

Once you have burnt through your first jumbo and are ready for a refill we offer three options for our local customers..  

Sniff Event Option:

Bring your (preferably clean) jumbo back to any sniff event.

You’ll hand your jar to our jar return helpers. They’ll hand you a card for the jumbo refill price.

You’ll sniff our new collection and select your scent you’d like. 

We’ll grab your new jumbo and checkout.  

Website Option:

Add the jumbo you’d like to your cart. You can select from our signature or seasonal line. 

Use code JUMBOREFILL in the promo code spot to bring your price down to $45. 

Checkout.  

When you receive your fulfillment email you’ll pick up your new jumbo and leave your (preferably clean) empty jumbo on our porch.

MADE Option: 

Head on up to MADE at 216 W. Fayette St., in Celina, OH. with your empty (preferably clean) jumbo. 

Find a jumbo you love. 

Head to the checkout. Leave your empty (preferably clean) jumbo with the ladies at the counter and leave with your full one.

Soy wax is incredibly soft. Use a spoon to scrape out any remaining wax. Use super HOT water and some dish soap. Run the water in the candle for a moment to melt any residual wax. Scrub it up with a rag and wallah! 

You can peel the label off and again, a super hot water soak will have the sticky grime off in no time. 

We use soy wax. It is environmentally friendly and a renewable, sustainable resource. Soy wax burns slower, meaning your candle lasts longer. Soy wax is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require a chemical amplifier, resulting in a well balanced, true to scent candle. 

All of our fragrances are phthalate free. Exposure to phthalates has been linked to endocrine disruption, reproductive abnormalities, cancer, asthma and a few other nasty things that it would be best for you to not have. 

We choose no scents that have a Prop 65 warning. Prop 65 is an initiative out of California to notify citizens and label products that contain a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals used in products that knowingly cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. 

MOST of our scents are completely “clean” meaning toxin-free. Our scents are free of carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins and acute toxins. 

We continue to source only the cleanest and best in scenting trending away from "fragrance." We do not use "essential oils" in our scents as many essential oils are not intended to be burned.

Hugs from Heaven is not its own individual scent. The purpose of a Hugs from Heaven is that it evokes a special memory of the loved one who has passed. So in turn we hope you’ll pick your own special scent that will remind the recipient of their loved one.

This is not its own “scent.” A “Hug from Heaven” is something that we hope reminds you of the departed and that may be different for each person. You pick one of our 16 signature scents that cover a variety of scent profiles, or an in stock seasonal scent, and we fill a jumbo candle with that scent that reminds you, or the recipient, of the loved one who has passed. If it was Grandma you want something that smells like baking, or something that smells like fresh cut flowers. If it was a father you might want something masculine. If it was a friend you might want something fruity. We have seen individuals take the candles to local florists who do beautiful flower arrangements around them.

We realize these are a “need kind of quickly” item and we always try to get these ready as soon as possible.
